The program is designed for dancers to achieve individual progress in ballet and contemporary dance training through a strong focus on clarity of technique, increased strength, and a deeper understanding of individual artistic potential and musicality. Ballet and contemporary classes are conducted in groups and organized by age and levels.
Curriculum Overview

Smith College, Massachusetts 3-week program

- The closest airport is Bradley International (BDL). It is served by most major airlines and located about 35 miles south of Northampton near Hartford, CT or Boston Logan airport (BOS).
- Housing:
- CBT Summer intensive provides dormitory-style housing to all accepted Summer intensive students, located at the historical and prestigious Smith College, Massachusetts.
- Dining:
- CBT students will take their meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner at the cafeteria located at Smith College campus.
- Meals are served cafeteria-style. Dinners are responsible for busing their own dishes. Menus include fresh cuisine prepared by college staff. Fresh fruit, salad bars and vegetarian items are included at all meals. Dining Services is committed to supporting area farmers by purchasing as much local produce as possible, and summer time offers many exciting options.
- Smith Access Card:
- Students will be provided with Smith Access Card. This multifunctional, customized card will be programmed for access the house, ballet studio, athletic facilities, dining hall, library.
- Wireless Internet:
- Smith College provides wireless internet access.

- Double and single rooms are simple with a bed, table, desk, chairs, closet and overhead light.
